The contract for the construction of Monfalcone 880 MW CCGT power plant, owned by A2A EnergieFuture SpA, awarded by the consortium made by FATA, SIEMENS Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG, SIEMENS Energy Srl and DEMONT, has begun.
The new power plant combined cycle with gas turbine (HL-Class, the largest), capable of also being fueled with a mix of Natural Gas and Hydrogen, will accelerate the energy transition program by replacing the old coal plant with consequently requalification of the industrial area.
The Monfalcone power plant falls within the “Capacity Market” program , the plant is expected to come into operation by the second half of 2026.
